Girl Crush of the Week – Emma Stone – Phoenix Boudoir Photographer
Posted on July 5, 2011
This week’s girl crush is Miss Emma Stone. Yes, she is young. But her red lips and creamy white skin inspire me.
(just a note… the images in this post are simply inspiration I found through other sources, this is not my work :)

Wasn’t I just pregnant yesterday? Oh dear! That was a year ago? Well I am certain that my body did not look like this. I still can’t get over how gorgeous she is. She was certainly glowing! I can’t wait to meet her little one next month. There are just too many great shots and Kelly was so gracious to share. So here they are!
“Working with Pamela was an absolute pleasure! From the minute I walked into the room, she put me at ease and made the experience more like a chat with a friend than a photo shoot. Feeling beautiful when you’re near the end of a pregnancy isn’t always easy, but Pamela made me feel that way during the shoot. Not to mention, her talent is incredible. I am in love with my photos and can’t wait to see our newborn portraits!”
I will post more soon. Until then….
Call or send me an email if you are interested in a maternity boudoir session with Femme Art Boudoir.

Be inspired.
Yes… that’s a incredibly sexy, gorgeous, curvy, very pregnant woman. And yes, I LOVE to photograph beautiful pregnant women… in there lingerie, (or out of!).

So it turns out, having a 1 year old really can take up a lot of time! Blogging becomes a thing of the past because I am so tired by the time I actually get to sit down and work. I swear, my kiddo can play happily by himself for the longest time while I clean, make phone calls, etc.. But the second I sit down at the computer, he is at my side, pulling at my leg, holding up a book for me to read to him, (I know, how can I resist!!), or crying to get up on my lap. Then, instead of whatever work I thought I might get done, I am reading a book to my little guy on the floor and forgetting all about work. What can you do. I wouldn’t give it up for anything.
On to this weeks tip… I thought I would talk about session tips, regarding timing rather than “during the shoot” tips. I get a lot of questions about turn around time – “When should I schedule my session?”. Here’s the deal…
Your shoot will take about 2 hours (4 if you include hair and makeup). After the shoot, I try to send samples within a week, but your final images are typically finished within 2 weeks. After that, it depends a bit on what you choose to do with your images. A simple 5×7 album can take up to 2 weeks for delivery and larger albums can take up to 4. All that being said, I recognize the need for some faster processing – due to deadlines like weddings, birthday and anniversaries… and can certainly work with you to make it happen, however much time you may have. If time permits, I suggest scheduling at least a month before you would like to receive your final product.
Feel free to send me an email or give me a call to schedule your session.

I have been missing. I apologize. I have a tendency toward setting goals that are quite unachievable, which then leads to complete procrastination and eventually NEVER getting anything done. So maybe a post a day was a bit too much for this work at home mom… My new goal is 1. I’ll practice making smaller goals, I think I can handle that.
I’ve been shooting a lot lately, and I have to say, I walk out of every shoot feeling like I have made a friend and had a fantastic opportunity to get to know a sensational woman. I am reminded each time that every woman is unique AND gorgeous AND has something incredible to offer. Seriously. I don’t care how ridiculous it sounds. It is true. I have a hard time putting it into words, but I feel so blessed to have had and to continue having these opportunities. My shoots usually end up feeling like we just “hung out” for a couple hours. (Of course you’re in your underwear...), but that is what it feels like for me, and for that, I am grateful.
So, THANK YOU to everyone who has invited me to share in such a fabulous experience with you. Thank you for trusting me to photograph you. Thank you. Thank you.
I look forward to meeting many more of you! I simply cannot wait :)

Pamela – please be gentle with yourself. Your work is lovely and you are such an inspiration to this JSO photog! Daily, weekly, or monthly – I’ll still be checking in for a shot of gorgeousness, all the while hoping I’ll make it to Phoenix someday for my own shoot with you.
I was one of the people lucky enough to be shot by Pamela recently, and let me tell you, it was AWESOME.
First of all, go to Anastacia’s. Do it. Lilly is wonderful, and she makes you feel really special. She also won’t allow you to walk out of her shop with something that makes you look bad. She’s the kind of person who you can feel totally comfortable calling into the dressing room and asking: does this make my butt look fat? You also can rest assured that she won’t let you leave with it if it does!
Then, if you choose to do professional hair and makeup, Linda is an ARTIST who makes you look and feel like a GODDESS. She did this smoky thing with my eyes that was incredible. I was so sad to take it off at the end of the day!
Pamela is a really wonderful and normal person. There is not a hint of sleaziness in any part of the experience. She hangs out with you, a little music plays in the background, you can have a mimosa if you want one (I should have had one, truth be told), and she knows just how to direct you. I felt kind of funky and shy the entire time, but she put me at ease and handled me with total competence. Plus, I trusted that she wouldn’t show me any of the bad shots, so hey, there’s not much risk. But had I known how incredible the shots would end up being, I would have relaxed more and let my cheeky, playful and adventurous side come out more. So my advice is… RELAX and PLAY! Pamela will make you look FABULOUS.
I haven’t seen my entire set of proofs yet, but the three little samples I have seen were overwhelming and made me quite emotional. As trite as it sounds, I feel good about my body for the first time in my life. I feel like Pamela revealed to me what my fiance sees when he looks at me and says (without irony): “you’re so beautiful.”
I did expect the boudoir shoot to be fun. I did hope to get some sexy/fun shots to give to the love of my life on the eve of our wedding. I did not expect it to be so empowering and healing. It was supposed to be a gift for him, but it has ended up being a profound gift for me.
Thank you so much Pamela and Linda and Lilly. You are a magical team of healers.
Thank you so much! I get so many junk comments a day, you wouldn’t even believe it. Ia m just running through them and found a few needles in the haystack. I apologize for taking so long to respond. Let me know if/when you are in town. I would love to meet you!
