Birth photography introduction.

What is your baby's story?  Was the pregnancy a joyous surprise?  Had you been trying for years?  Whatever your story is – I would LOVE to photograph this magical moment for your family to look back on forever.  Send me your baby's story and you will be entered to win a birth session package including up to 4 hours of birth photography, an online slide show to share with friends and family, and a DVD with up to 50 digital negatives.  Stories will be posted here on the blog and readers will vote for their favorite story. 

Contest starts now and entries will be accepted until March 13th.  Mom's due date can be no earlier than May 1st.

This Week's Favorite Things

I am starting a new feature on the blog!  Every Friday – I will post my current "favorite things".  I figure I spend a LOT of time online and should put it to some good use   Send me your suggestions!  It can be ANYTHING!  (Think music, artists, clothes, kid's activity websites, boutiques, blogs you LOVE, gadgets, just about anything!  Local stuff is AWESOME too!)  If I post your favorite thing, you will be entered in a monthly drawing for a free session!  Just send me a quick email with a short explanation as to why it is your "favorite" thing, and a link to a place that I can find it online.  It's that easy!  If I LOVE it as much as you – you're in!

Sweet Sophia.  What a gorgeous little girl.  We had so much fun dancing and jumping at our children's photography session this afternoon in north Scottsdale.  Her family is visiting from Minnesota, so we got to shoot at their hotel, the gorgeous Four Seasons Resort Scottsdale – it was perfect!  Sophia also wore her new outfit found at child.hood boutique.  Thanks for hanging out with me Sophia – I had a blast

Oh. So. Lovely.  This little Lyla has the chubbiest cheeks and I can't get enough of them.  She is not yet 9 months and already dreams of walking.  She curiously inspects your feet as you walk and then mimics their movement with sheer excitement.  Mama's smile is quite contagious, and little Lyla seems to have inherited that fabulous trait!  What a doll.

"Morning smiles, like the face of a newborn child, innocent,
unknowing."  I am not sure what Sarah McLachlan had in mind for the
meaning of those lyrics to her song, Fear, but they always struck a
chord with me.  Pulled the heart strings. I love this child.  I love
all children.  I need a baby.  Where is my baby?  Ok, well, maybe I am
getting a little baby crazy. But honestly, I am at the point now where 
I can't look at a baby's face without thinking, I want one!!  You saw
Carter's birth, and now here he is in all his sweetness at 3 days old.
